About SILJ

Seoul International Law Journal(SILJ) was first published in 1994 and it is one of the most prestigious journal concerning the international law issues in Korea. The Journal consists of articles, case notes and book reviews.


The Journal is published twice annually, on June 30 and December 31, by the editorial committee of Seoul International Law Academy. The editorial committee of Seoul International Law Journal is comprised of prominent professors of international law in Korea, who provides insightful ways and means in which Korea adapts international law to deal with new and emerging challenges. 

The main contribution of the Seoul International Law Journal is its application of international law on Korean context. The Journal addresses international and global questions through highly acclaimed and broad-based legal analysis on contemporary issues. The Journal also provides a focal-point for research in public law by collecting and publishing notable legal judgments from Korean judiciary with respect to international law.

The Seoul International Law Journal provides an interactive platform for international law scholars, practitioners and students to engage in research on international law.
